Inbound Students of UNS lucky to study at UNS

Surakarta, October 13, 2022. Putri Melinda, State University of Medan students had the chance to study at Sebelas Maret University. She can now learn on campus thanks to the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program.   "After UI and UGM, UNS has been one of Indonesia's best campuses, and solo has a low cost of living. to survive as a student in Solo, Rp. 600.000 per month is sufficient. Vice Rector of UNS Inaugurates the Inbound Students of the PMM Program

Ginting Prof. Yunus, vice rector of UNS inaugurated 182 students from the Free Student Exchange Program (PMM), who were represented by Heri Junaidi from Jambi University and Putri Melinda from Medan State University on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The inauguration took place in the GPH Haryo Mataram Auditorium UNS. 182 students in all came from 52 universities outside of Java.  The inauguration was opened with a report from the UNS PMM Program Coordinator, Dr. Emmy Latifah, SH, MH. Dr. Emmy revealed that the exchange students had the opportunity to get 20 credits consisting of 4 credits of modul nusantara courses and 16 credits of elective courses. In terms of accommodation and housing, Dr. Emmy confirmed that the exchange students would be picked up and dropped off by the campus bus. Exchange Students Protest High Dorm Fees

Surakarta - Some exchange students from Sebelas Maret University who live in dormitories protested at the dorm office against high dorm fees that were not advertised in the brochure on October 3rd 2022. The dorm fees that students must pay are higher than the fees listed in the brochure. Tania, an exchange student who took part in the protest, stated that she hoped the hostel could reduce the dormitory fee. “I am  saddened by the high cost of boarding, especially since I had other expenses to pay during the student exchange program, such as food and transportation costs . The government's monthly stipend is insufficient to support my life in this city. As a result, I'm hoping that the dorm parties  will reduce the dormitory fee for exchange students,” She said.  Students must pay one million rupiahs per room, regardless of whether they are on the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth floors. Students of PMM UNS complain of delays in monthly living funds

Nadya Risma Namira, when giving her complaint Many students speak up about their complaints against the Ministry of Education and Culture and the LPDP for being late in granting students’ rights in the form of monthly living funds as participants in one of MBKM programs namely PMM (student exchange program) in Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). The Ministry of Education and Culture and the LPDP have not provided the monthly living funds for all students of PMM UNS until early October 2022. The delay in disbursing funds for more than a month since the students' arrival in mid-August made all students complain and protest. Nadya Risma Namira, one of the students of PMM UNS, complained about the late disbursement of monthly living funds.
